Not been around but I have been busy

Realised that I did'nt have enough fabric for the back of my Amy Butler quilt so it has been put aside for a while.  But this gorgeous fabric came in the post the other day.

It's Moda Hushabye and I've decided that this is more suited to a baby quilt, so I did a lot of cutting, a lot of sewing and voila here is the finished quilt.

I really enjoyed making this, and surprisingly there was something really satisfying about hand sewing the binding in place.  It is by no means perfect, you may be able to see the slight wonkiness on the right but I'm pleased overall with my first attempt.
